Paradise islands with fantastic beaches and coral reefs are surrounding Phuket, Krabi and Khao Lak.

Many of the islands are uninhabited - others with varied accommodations. Year-round there will be organized speedboat excursions to most of the islands.

The maritime underwater landscape is featuring unique coral reefs in all shapes.

Tropical fish in all colors live and seek protection of the reefs. When you first have tried to snorkel - it is rarely going to be the last.

HOW TO SNORKEL?

Have not tried snorkelling before? – It’s easy to learn.

Rule No. 1 - Become familiar with the equipment.

Forget the flippers if you are a beginner. Snorkel and mask is provided for free use by the operators. For this reason be sure the two tabs (bite pieces) on the snorkel mouthpiece is intact and the neck strap on the mask as well.

Areas around your forehead, nose and eyes must be free of hair, so that the rubber edge of the mask can be connected tight - straight to your face. People with beards can be a problem. Test the mask density by suction air by the nose. If the mask stays on the face without the neck strap attached - it is likely also waterproof.

The snorkel tube is mounted on the mask neck strap. Put the mouthpiece into your mouth so that your lips will surround the rubber edge and grab with your teeth lightly on to the tabs (bite pieces). Request a life jacket, so you float on the surface over the coral reef. Relax and take in air through the mouth! - Not your nose – not your nose – not your nose / mouth only. "Now it’s spelled out"

 

To avoid the glass in the mask steaming during snorkeling, spit on the glass inside the mask and rub with the forefinger and middle finger. Clean with salt water before you go under the surface.

 

Last but not least: All equipment will be placed in disinfectant liquids after use so is sterile when you take it into use. Doubt this? Buy your own equipment and rehearse in the pool before the excursion begins.

The guide accompanying the snorkel excursion will always help with a crash course if you ask him / her for advice.

IMPORTANT INFO:

Speedboat Excursions are generally not recommended for children less than 3 years, people with high blood pressure, heart problems or pregnant lady’s. The reason for this is that the speed boat "bumps" on the waves. Sit in the rear by the boat engines - then you reduce effects significantly.

Snorkel with a T-shirt on. Sunscreen will quickly disappear in the salty seawater. Remember anyway to bring sunscreen, hat and towel. The sun is dangerously strong at sea. The program may vary due to weather conditions. Surcharges will apply for transfers outside Kata, Karon & Patong Beach.
